Facial mesotherapy in Paris

Facial mesotherapy consists of fine superficial micro-injections into the dermis of a cocktail of hyaluronic acid, vitamins and trace elements. Without altering volumes or expressions, it deeply rehydrates the skin, stimulates collagen and restores its radiance, firmness and suppleness. In Paris, Dr Vincent Hunsinger offers mesolift, Skin Boosters and microneedling to treat dull, dry or tired skin and to prevent skin ageing.

01Facial mesotherapy: for which needs?

Mesotherapy is not a filling treatment: it improves the quality of the skin itself. It is suitable for anyone — woman or man, at any age — wishing to:

  • rehydrate dry, dull or tired skin and restore its radiance;
  • soften fine lines and skin crepiness (forehead, cheeks, temples, lip contour);
  • even out the complexion, tighten pores and smooth the texture;
  • improve skin damaged by tobacco or the sun, or marked by acne in younger patients;
  • prevent skin ageing from the first signs (around the age of 30).

Beyond the face, it also treats the neck, the décolleté and the back of the hands, areas where the skin is thin and exposed. It pairs well with a chemical peel for the face or a HydraFacial treatment to enhance the radiance boost.

02Mesolift, Skin Booster and microneedling: the techniques

Three complementary techniques are used depending on your skin:

  • Mesolift: injection of a non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid (Restylane Vital, Redensity, Filorga) mixed with vitamins, amino acids, minerals and antioxidants. With no volumising effect, it deeply hydrates and revitalises the dermis. The injections are performed by multipuncture (small papules spaced about 1 cm apart), by cannula layering, or intradermally.
  • Skin Booster: it uses a cross-linked hyaluronic acid, denser, which creates a genuine « water-attracting » effect in the deeper layers for more intense and longer-lasting hydration. Ideal from the first signs of ageing, without altering the volumes of the face.
  • Microneedling: using a pen (mesopen) fitted with micro-needles, it creates a multitude of micro-channels in the dermis that stimulate collagen production and allow the active serum to penetrate. It improves the texture, pores and acne scars.

03The origin and principle of mesotherapy

Mesotherapy was developed in 1952 by the French doctor Michel Pistor, following the principle « little, rarely, in the right place »: delivering small doses of active ingredients as close as possible to their target, within the dermis. Applied to aesthetics under the name mesolift, it works in two ways: the injected active ingredients (hyaluronic acid, vitamins, trace elements) nourish and hydrate the skin, while the micro-stimulation from the needle boosts microcirculation and collagen production — the protein that gives the skin firmness and density. It is this dual action that revitalises the complexion without freezing anything.

04How the procedure works

01

Before the procedure

A consultation precedes the course: the doctor analyses your skin type and the signs to correct, chooses the appropriate cocktail and technique, and provides a quote. In the days before the session, it is advised to avoid aspirin and anti-inflammatories (which promote bruising). An anaesthetic cream (such as EMLA) may be applied before the session for greater comfort.

02

During the procedure

The skin is first cleansed of make-up, cleaned and disinfected. The doctor then performs the micro-injections on the area to be treated, according to the chosen technique:

  • multipuncture (small regular papules) or cannula layering with a fine cannula for mesolift and Skin Booster;
  • microneedling with the mesopen to stimulate the dermis and allow the serum to penetrate.

The procedure is almost painless (a few tingling sensations), helped by the anaesthetic contained in the products or the cream. The session lasts 10 to 30 minutes and requires no hospital stay.

Duration 10 to 30 min Anaesthesia Anaesthetic cream (optional)
03

After the procedure

Recovery is straightforward: small papules and some redness or mild bruising may appear at the injection points and resolve within a few hours to a day; social downtime is minimal. Mesotherapy is performed as a course: generally 3 to 4 sessions spaced about a month apart for an optimal result. The skin then appears softer, smoother and more luminous; the result lasts around 6 months, maintained by a session every 6 to 12 months.

06Your questions

What is the price of a facial mesotherapy session in Paris?+

Expect around 300 to 500 € for a session of facial mesotherapy / mesolift, 200 to 500 € for a Skin Booster and 200 to 400 € for a microneedling session. The full course (3 to 4 sessions) and the quote are defined during the consultation.

How many mesotherapy sessions are needed?+

A course of 3 to 4 sessions spaced about a month apart gives the best result; depending on the condition of the skin, more sessions may be suggested. Maintenance every 6 to 12 months sustains the effect.

What is the difference between mesotherapy, mesolift and Skin Booster?+

« Mesotherapy » is the general term. Mesolift is its aesthetic form, using a non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid + vitamins to hydrate. The Skin Booster uses a cross-linked hyaluronic acid, denser, for deeper and longer-lasting hydration.

What is microneedling and is it mesotherapy?+

Microneedling uses a micro-needle pen (mesopen) to create multiple micro-channels that stimulate collagen and allow an active serum to penetrate. It is a technique close to mesotherapy, often combined with it to improve texture, pores and acne scars.

Is facial mesotherapy painful?+

No, it is almost painless: you feel slight tingling. An anaesthetic cream may be applied before the session and the products often contain an anaesthetic.

Are there any drawbacks or risks?+

Recovery is limited to small papules, redness or transient bruising. Mesotherapy has been performed for decades and remains safe in expert hands. It is not advised in cases of pregnancy or breastfeeding, allergy to the products, active skin infection or disease, clotting disorders or autoimmune disease.

Is there any social downtime after a session?+

Almost none: the small papules and redness fade within a few hours to a day. You can resume your activities straight away.

How long do the results last?+

The result of a course lasts around 6 months. Maintenance sessions every 6 to 12 months prolong the radiance and firmness.

From what age can you have mesotherapy?+

From 30 years as prevention, but it is suitable at any age: younger to treat acne and skin quality, later to revitalise skin marked by time.

Does mesotherapy treat acne and pigmentation marks?+

It improves the overall quality of the skin: texture, pores, radiance and an even complexion, which helps acne-prone skin and uneven complexions. For pronounced marks, it is often combined with a chemical peel.

Can the neck, décolleté and hands be treated?+

Yes: these are ideal areas, with thin and exposed skin. Mesotherapy rehydrates and firms the skin there, complementing the treatment of the face.
